Can you buy a small turkey to support a family in need?

Every year we collect frozen turkeys in November (and other non-perishables throughout the year) to be passed along to families in need through Nourish Up. This year with SNAP and WIC benefits affected and food pantries experiencing the shortage while trying to serve more people, the need is greater than ever.
The turkey truck will be here November 16 to collect the frozen turkeys you donate to distribute to families. We are praying to receive up to 60 small turkeys by November 16. If you have the means, drop off a small frozen turkey by Sunday, November 16 at 10:30am for Nourish Up.
When you buy a frozen turkey, keep it frozen. Please do not let it thaw, even partially. Bring your bird to the church (office hours are 9 am - 3:30 pm), and we will put it in the deep freezer until Nourish Up brings the truck on Nov. 16 to collect all our birds.

Like the shoeboxes, it doesn't hurt to pray over your bird so the recipient may also receive many blessings.
